Meet Malin

Children and Young People’s Psychological & Behavioural Practitioner (8-18yrs)

BACP No. 788842

My approach to wellness is behavioural and person-centered, always focusing on the individual and their unique needs. What truly motivates me in my work is the ability to help people by creating a trusting, safe space for them to explore their emotions and challenges. I’m passionate about being with my clients throughout their journey, witnessing their progress and growth along the way.

In addition to my professional work, I have volunteered as a safe person for children within the social services, where I took them to the stables and spent time engaging in meaningful activities. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, especially horses, which have been a big part of my life. This passion has shaped my approach to wellness, as I believe animals and nature can be powerful tools for healing.

Proffessional Background

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and have completed additional training in Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have over five years of experience as a school counsellor in Sweden, where I supported children and young people through various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and school refusal.

My role as a school counsellor allowed me to work closely with students, helping them navigate emotional difficulties while creating a safe, supportive space where they could freely express themselves. I’ve also attended courses on gender equality, integration, migration, and refugee issues, which have broadened my understanding of the diverse needs young people may have.
