Adult, Children & Young People’s Counsellor

BACP No. 187735

I have a heartfelt passion for supporting children from the age of five, helping them make sense of their inner world through creative, play-based therapeutic approaches. Play is a child’s natural language—and through storytelling, art, and role play, I offer a safe and engaging space where children can express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear or pressure.

My work is grounded in compassion and curiosity. I tailor each session to the unique needs of the child, building a foundation of trust and connection. Together, we work toward gentle, achievable goals, helping them grow in emotional resilience and develop healthy ways to navigate feelings like anxiety, trauma, and anger.

Professional Background

I bring a rich and varied background to my therapeutic work. While working with Relate on The Turnaround Project, I supported children and women affected by domestic violence, both in schools and community workshops. This included one-to-one work with young people and referrals from CAMHS.

I’ve also had the privilege of working with the Leonardo Trust, supporting both adult and young carers—offering space for their stories, emotions, and needs to be heard and validated.

My training in Early Years Preschool Practice (Level 3) gave me a strong foundation in child development, attachment, and learning through play. Having home-educated my own five children across various ages and stages, I understand first-hand the richness and complexity of childhood. I’m now embracing the joys of being a grandparent, which adds another layer of perspective and love to the work I do.

Outside of my practice, I find inspiration in nature, enjoy drawing and playing guitar, and love exploring the creative world of writing. Having come through a long-term chronic illness, I also have a deep interest in holistic health—especially the connection between nutrition, the body, and emotional wellbeing.
